The Muskingum County Sheriff's Office is investigating a bomb threat made at Mid-East Career and Technology Center.

Sheriff Matt Lutz said a note was discovered in a bathroom that indicated that a bomb threat would happen at 1:15 in the afternoon.

Administrators evacuated the school and emergency responders were brought in to do a sweep of the building.

Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz says an arrest has been made in connection with some recent school bomb threats. The year isn't off to a great start at John Glenn High School.  Students have been forced to evacuate the building two days in a row.

It all started on Thursday when Sgt. Matt McCauley said someone scribbled a threat on the wall of a boys bathroom.  A Muskingum County Sheriff's Office K9 unit swept the building.

The Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office was called to Wal-Mart on the Maysville Pike twice overnight Wednesday for two separate bomb threats.  Deputies say the first time was just before midnight when a bomb threat was discovered on the men’s bathroom wall.  There was no date or time on the threat.  The Newton Township Fire Department and the Sheriff’s Office bomb sniffing dog searched the store and found nothing.  Then – just after 2:30 ...

Newark Police say two students have been charged in connection with a recent bomb threat at Newark High School.
 

Police Chief Steven Sarver says after a week long investigation the students, one in ninth grade and the other in tenth, confessed to the written bomb threat that put the school on a two hour delay last Friday.

Classes will resume at two area schools after they were evacuated Thursday due to bomb threats.

Two schools in Guernsey County had a scare Thursday morning.

According to Lieutenant Dale Lyons of the Guernsey County Sheriff's Office, bomb threats were reported in the Rolling Hills Local School District at both Meadowbrook High and Middle Schools.

A bomb threat shuts down a South Zanesville store for several hours.

Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz said the South Zanesville Wal-Mart received a phone call claiming a bomb was in the store. The call came in just before 2am on Saturday morning.

 A bomb threat shuts down the South Zanesville Walmart for several hours.

Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Luts says the call came in around 2 am Saturday morning.

Authorities brought in K9 units and searched the building but found no evidence of a bomb.

Lutz says a 48-year-old male has been taken in for questioning and could face felony charges.

The store re-opened around 5 am.
