Sunshine, shotguns, shells and smiles were the only things to be seen at Briar Rabbit Shooting Sports Sunday.

The Muskingum Valley Scout Reservation broke ground on a building renovation today.

The central lodge has not been able to support the number of scouts coming to camp each summer. So the Muskingum Valley Council, Boy Scouts of America started raising money for various projects including for central lodge. In May the Boy Scouts of America made a vote that will impact their organization on a national scale.

A local man is receiving a distinguished award for his hardwork and dedication.

On Sunday night, 18-year-old Tyler Walters was recognized by the community at the Zanesville Methodist Bible Church for earning the rank of Eagle Scout by the Boy Scouts of America. It is the highest award given by the program.

The Boy Scouts of America are celebrating 100 years of service.

It's a nationwide celebration that brought members to the Colony Square Mall.
