Several community members turned out to Bryan's Place in Zanesville Saturday to honor the life of Nelson T. Gant.

The 12th annual birthday celebration included brunch, a 50 - 50 raffle, silent auction, and a dance performance. While the main purpose of the event was to raise money for the Gant Foundation, there was another important reason for the gathering as well.

Compressed natural gas could be the next big thing in energy efficiency.

On Friday, the Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce, State Senator Troy Balderson (R) and State Representative Brian Hill (R) sponsored a seminar to promote legislation that would give customer's such as drivers, incentives for converting to compressed natural gas. "We are having after work parties every Friday night. The first Friday of the month we're going to have a comedy club. We've been having packed houses on that so we started adding the bands every Friday.
