A jury has been seated in the trial of a Zanesville man charged with murder and burning the corpse.

There are ten females and two males on the jury in the case of 20-year-old Shaquille Davis charged in the death of his first cousin Phillip Kimbro Junior last year. Kimbro's body was found on fire by a tree trimming crew on county road 15 in Morgan county. Davis is charged with aggravated murder with a firearm specification, three counts of tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse....

The Zanesville man charged in connection with killing a man and trying to burn his body will appear in court Tuesday morning. 

The trial for 20-year-old Shaquille Davis is scheduled to begin in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court at 9am Tuesday. Muskingum County Prosecutor Mike Haddox says the five people being held in connection with a burned body in Morgan County have been indicted by a Grand Jury.  Prosecutor Haddox says 19-year-old Shaquille Davis of Zanesville who was originally charged with one count of murder with a gun specification was also indicted on three counts of tampering with evidence and one count of abuse of corpse.  Haddox says the other four people arrested in the case were also indicted Wednesday...

The Zanesville Police Department announced Wednesday afternoon, it caught the main suspect in the murder of 24 year old, Phillip Kimbro Jr.

Captain Tony Coury says, ZPD's Detective Bureau and Special Response Team received information earlier on Wednesday, that 19 year old, Shaquille Davis of Zanesville, was in an apartment in the north end of town.

A Zanesville man is being charged in connection with a burning body found in Morgan County last month.

Muskingum County Prosecutor, Mike Haddox says Shaquille Davis,19 is on the loose tonight and is considered armed and danngerous.  He is accused in the death of Phillip Lawrence Kimbro Jr,24 .

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday indentified the man found burned to death last Thursday in Union Township. Sheriff Tom Jenkins says the man is 24-year-old Phillip Lawrence Kimbro Jr. The Sheriff says he is a black male and his last known address in 2011 was 2501 Homewood Drive in Lorain. A Sheriff’s Department press release indicates Kimbro had an extensive criminal record. The incident remains under investigation and no other information was released.

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the discovery of a burned body. Sheriff Tom Jenkins says his office responded to a call for help in Union Township where workers found what appeared to be the burned body of a male. The Sheriff says the unidentified body is burned and has been sent for an autopsy in an attempt to determine identification. The Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation has been called to help in the case.
