The Zanesville Post is also entering another phase of the investigation of a fatal Tri-Valley school bus crash that took the life of 6-year-old Kasey King last month.

Post Commander Lieutenant Rine says the crash information from troopers has been forwarded to the Muskingum County Prosecutor's Office. He says Prosecutor Mike Haddox will be reviewing all the collected evidence and determine what if any charges will be filed.

A special ceremony was held today for a hero in last month's fatal school bus crash.

12-year-old Shae Burkhart a 6th Grader at Nashport Elementary kicked open a door of the Tri-Valley school bus after it crashed on State Route 60.

"I had to kick it a few times. I think something was lodged on the outside.i Helped some kids out and I told them to get way from the power lines and get up on the hill," Burkhart said.

More than 200 people attended a candle light vigil Thursday night in memory of six-year-old Kasey King, the Nashport Elementary student who was killed in a school bus accident Wednesday morning.

Kasey's step-father Joe Thomas attended the vigil to thank the community for its support on behalf of his family and wife, Randi.

A 12-year-old Nashport Elementary Sixth Grader is being called a hero for his actions Wednesday following the bus crash on State Route 60.

Shae Burkhart helped to get his fellow classmates off of the crippled bus. His father Kent says Shae was listening to his head phones when he felt the bus start to roll.

A school bus accident has claimed the life of a Nashport Elementary School student. 6-year-old Kasey King of Frazeysburg left for school this morning, got on the bus, and never made it back home.

It's the day before the Tri-Valley School District was supposed to break for summer vacation. Nashport Elementary School was celebrating Field Day, with planned games and activities, but a tragic accident along State Route 60 just after 8 a.m. in Nashport cut the fun short.
