After a 7-3 vote from member schools, Steubenville was approved for membership in the ECOL, which has now added four member schools in the past calendar year. The City of Cambridge will be busy this summer beautifying their downtown.

Thanks to a $400,000 grant, the facades of 22 buildings will be updated, as well as code work and paving.

"This year it's been really great because we got 28 businesses signed up," said Director of the Economic and Community Development Department Steven Geirhart. "Anywhere from facades to codework, awnings. We'll give them up to $10,000."

The City of Cambridge is proclaiming April Fair Housing Month.

In honor of that, the Economic and Community Development Department is working with City Engineer Steve Sherry to make improvements around the city for disabled citizens.

The City of Cambridge is also working to beautify their area.

The city has rejuvenated their Community Gardens Program, which uses vacant properties to plant gardens. The residents reserve a plot with the city and grow everything from flowers to vegetables.

Good things are happening in Cambridge.

One of those things is a baseball field for the disabled--called Challenger Field.

The idea started with an old girls' softball field one year ago. Joy Padgett, the state senator at the time, gave the Cambridge Economic and Community Development Department $50,000 to start the project.

The city of Cambridge may soon see some changes to its city park.

At a recent city council meeting, Cambridge Mayor Tom Orr suggested the city add something new to the city park, security cameras.
