"Breaking Free is a dream of mine and my husband's [Bryan Lake]. It's a mission in our lives." Said Linda Lake, Executive Director of the Therapeutic Riding Center.

A love of horses and an interest in the benefits of therapeutic riding were the two things that came together for Lake in the early stages of the program. Lake explained, "It took three years to get it up and running because of all the legal aspects of it and just to pull everything together."

The Boy Scouts of America are honoring local businesses that have donated to the Capital Campaign. 

A gift of over $25,000 to the campaign earns membership into the National Second Century Society. The distinction shows gratitude toward organizations and people who help the B.S.A. 

"We are here to present Mr. Littick and WHIZ a membership in what's called the Second Century Society," said chairman of the Muskingum valley Council Capital Campaign, Tom Sieber....

The Muskingum Valley Red Cross hopes to be in their new home by September.

The organization is kicking off their capital campaign to raise the last funds renovate and move to their new chapter house in Norwich. The need for a building became great after the addition of Guernsey and Noble counties to their coverage area.

"I really felt that the building was laid in our hands and said take it and grow because it was like all the pieces fell into place with Guernsey and Noble...
