The Zanesville Police Department is asking you to stay alert during a recent influx of car break-ins.

Captain Tony Coury says the crime has been occurring around apartment complexes on the north end of town. Coury says it's not really a generalized area, but more so hit and miss. Coury says they don't currently have a suspect.

"We don't have any suspects. We're just looking for people, you know, to call in. And pay attention to your neighbors, pay attention to yourself....

Two teens are under arrest Tuesday morning after breaking into parked cars.

Zanesville Police Lt. Bill Shaw said the teens began breaking into the vehicles in the Blue Avenue area around 1a.m.

He said thanks to witness information they were able to find the 19-year-old and 18-year-old driving around and stopped them.

Lt. Shaw said they had taken CDs, cd players and phone charges along with other items.

The pair was arrested for having drug paraphernalia, under age...

Zanesville Police say a car vandal was arrested Sunday night in Zanesville.

Zanesville Police Lieutenant  Bill Shaw says a 21 year old male was arrested in the area of Pine Street for breaking into cars. 
Lt. Shaw says a call came in Police around 1:00 Monday morning saying two people were breaking into cars.

Lt Shaw says they caught a 21 year old male in the area of Pine and Fess Street. He had a GPS unit...

Zanesville Police say three people are now behind bars after breaking into cars late Wednesday night in Zanesville.

Zaneville Police Captain Mike Baker said around 10:00 last night a caller from Woodlawn Avenue told them they saw people going through parked cars. Baker says two people from Cambridge have now been arrested.  They are identified as Paul Willey and Heidi Willey.  Baker says the couple is wanted in Cambridge for possible thefts too...
