A two car accident shut down an intersection in downtown Zanesville Wednesday afternoon.

The crash happened around 2 the intersection of 5th and Market Street. A car crash on Maple Avenue took out the fence and sign for Never More Tattoo Studio.

The accident happened around 9 p.m. The male driver of the black, Nissan was pulling out of Dairy Queen when Zanesville Police say the driver broadsided the silver, Sentra traveling north on Maple Avenue.

Zanesville Police say prescription drugs may have played a role in an accident that sent one man to the hospital.

William Fiore of New Lexington crashed his white, Ford Escort into a utility pole near Blue Avenue and Adair Avenue around 6:30 pm Sunday.
