The Newark Police Department says that more than 90 acts of vandalism were reported to their office early Sunday Morning.

According to Newark Police Sergeant, Burt Gliatta at approximately 8:30 a.m., residents began to call in to the station to report damages to both their cars and homes.

The Zanesville City Council board passes an emergency ordinance to allow city officials to enter into a contract for the purchase of new vehicles for the Zanesville Police Department during  Monday's council meeting.

The McHugh Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram Dealership is celebrating 50 years in Zanesville.

The family-owned and operated business was built from the ground up by Jim McHugh in 1963. McHugh originally opened up as a Volkswagen dealership in downtown Zanesville, but made the switch to selling American cars in the 1980's, and moved across town to Maple Avenue. Steering wheels are too hot to touch. Leather seats can burn your skin, and it's taking the air conditioner some time to cools things off in your car.

While thermometers across the region are rising into the 90's, readings in your car can be about 30 to 40 degrees hotter.

The sunshine and warmer weather have people flocking to local car washes.

The heavy snow Monday afternoon is the cause of several accidents and cars running off the road.

At points during the snow storm, drivers could only see about 30 feet in front of their vehicles.  Ron Metzung was driving on I-70 when he says his tires caught black ice.

The mounting snow and the ice is making it difficult to get from one place to the next.

Some people are finding themselves stuck and forced to call a towing service.

"It's been non-stop. We're averaging 75 to 80 calls a day between the tow trucks, the service trucks, and battery calls. It's been busy, " says Clever's Towing service truck driver Michael Nunley.
