 The Animal Shelter Society held their annual Craft Bazaar featuring one-of-kind, hand-made gifts from local vendors.

It's that time again, for the Animal Shelter Society's featured pet of the week.

The society is currently looking for a home for Lisa , the cat with the longest stay at the shelter. A portion of her adoption fee is being sponsored by local attorney, Sherry Ryan. It costs $30 to adopt her and animal shelter employees say after a rough start, she is now ready for a new beginning.

Some locals are adding a new member to their family.

The Animal Shelter in Muskingum County hosted it's first ever Super Cat Adoption Day. All kittens and cats were available to purchase for only $10. The shelter was hoping the discount would entice families to step forward to adopt a pet.

"They have a good deal today and we figured if we get one we might even get two, that way it helps the shelter out and the kitties out," said David Fereriks.
