It was another successful year for the Neighborhood Block Party in downtown Zanesville.

Central Trinity United Methodist Church, Union Baptist, Immanuel Church of Christ and Trinity Evangelical Lutheran, all united for a day of fun and celebration. Central Trinity Lead Pastor, Steven Fewell, said the beautiful weather brought in a large crowd.

Four local churches are coming together in unity for a night of fun and celebration.

Central Trinity United Methodist Church, Union Baptist, Immanuel Church of Christ and Trinity Evangelical Lutheran are all teaming up to host a block party in downtown Zanesville this weekend. Four area churches came together Saturday afternoon to share in fun and fellowship as a Christian community.

The Block Party was free of charge and was open to the public. Cornhole, door prizes, games, the Zanesville Fire Department, food and live music were all available to enjoy. Locals got a chance to hear musical selections composed by Bach, Beethoven and a variety of contemporary artists all for free at an annual concert on Sunday.

A long standing tradition is taking the stage this weekend.

For over 80 years the Zanesville Civic Chorus has presented Handel's Messiah Oratorio to the public.

Volunteers are breaking out the oven mitts and whipping up some sweet treats just in time for the holiday season.

One church was filled with activity Saturday afternoon in attempt to bring out the community.

Zaneville's Central Trinity United Methodist Church and the Muskingum County Red-Cross teamed-up to host their first ever Summer Festival.
