The Animal Shelter has a new fury friend this week that would make the perfect addition to your family.

This weeks "Pet of the Week" is an adorable shih tzu-mix named Digger. Digger has been at the shelter for quite some time and is ready for companionship. He's a tiny pup with a lovable personality. Rescue Coordinator, Charity Stevens, said he gets along well with both people and other dogs.

The Animal Shelter continued their mission to find homeless pets families the week of Aug. 14.

Zoey is a Burmese Mountain dog with a taste for fun and the outdoors. Rescue Coordinator Charity Stevens said Zoey will make a great companion.

Dawn, a boxer-lab mix, is this week's pet of the week, looking for her forever home.

Animal Shelter Rescue Coordinator, Charity Stevens, said Dawn is a sweet and loving dog, who loves to cuddle. She said she would be a great dog for anyone looking for their first pet.

The Animal Shelter Society in Muskingum County wants to invite you out to support their organization.

The first ever Paws and Claws Summer Jam Cornhole Tournament will take place on August 13th from 10AM to 5PM at Zane's Landing Park.
