One local organization took time to show appreciation to its volunteers with a special celebration.

Students of Zanesville City Schools donated more than 200 canned goods to Christ's Table just in time for Thanksgiving.

The school district held its annual benevolent dinner Monday night for those who may not be able to receive a hot meal this Thursday. Visitors of Christ's Table will be treated to a Thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings this Thursday.

Christ's Table will be providing turkey dinners to those in need from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. For those who may not be able to get out of the house this Thanksgiving, volunteers will deliver the hot meals right to your doorstep through the organization's home bound meal service.

Visitors of Christ's Table will soon be treated to a Thanksgiving feast, thanks to the Muskingum County Township Association.

With the help of Reisbecks, the association donated 25 hams to the food pantry to help feed those in need this holiday season. President of the association, Stephen Bradley, said each 10 pound ham represents a different township in Muskingum County.

The 19th annual SOUPer Bowl kicked off Sunday afternoon.

Each year the fundraiser benefits non-profits that provide food to the hungry everyday including Eastside Community Ministry, The Salvation Army, Christ's Table, The Muskingum County Senior Center and Fellowship of Christ's Community. Friday and Saturday marks the annual fall Canister Campaign for Christ's Table.

Those looking for a hot lunch at Christ's Table were in for a warm and cheesy surprise Wednesday.

Little Caesar's pizza filled the lunch line all made in their 'Love Kitchen' parked behind Christ's Table for the day. Christ's Table is seeing a spike in fresh produce donations this summer.

Farmers from all across the area are delivering loads of their extra fresh fruits and vegetables to the table daily, in an effort to help them serve healthy and nutritious meals to those in need. Executive Director, Keely Warden, said their generous donations have really helped.
