A lifetime spent maintaining and caring for his hometown will officially be recognized by the City of Zanesville as they declare the second Saturday of each October Wally Moore Clean-Up Day.

89-year-old Wally Moore was once a commonly seen man among the streets of downtown Zanesville. Moore's deep appreciation for his hometown inspired him to walk the streets, pulling weeds, picking up garbage and bringing attention to the areas in need.

Weed control has become a big issue in the City of Zanesville and now...City officials need your help.

Mayor Butch Zwelling said grants through the Muskingum County Opportunity Center to help the city mow and control the number of weeds have dried up. And now the city is struggling to keep up with the growth along sidewalks, alley ways and streets.

After a heated debate at Monday nights Zanesville City Council Meeting a truce has been called between the City and County.

The ordinance that would contract Licking County's Building Department to handle some of Zanesville's building inspection services was scrapped. Thursday morning Zanesville's Mayor Butch Zwelling and Code Enforcement Officer Tim Smith apologized to Muskingum County Commissioners for the behavior in Monday night's City Council Meeting.

In response to WHIZ's news story on Veteran and Hoarder John Krouskoupf the City of Zanesville has received a number of calls and interest of people wanting to help.

A  Zanesville man is on the verge of possibly losing his home and he thinks the city is taking advantage of him. War Veteran John Krouskoupf who some people call a "hoarder" claims the City of Zanesville is threatening to tear down his home if he doesn't clean it up.

Krouskoupf has been living in the 8th Street home since his dad built it in 1954. City Code Enforcement Supervisor, Tim Smith said neighbors have complained in the past and says they have every right too...
