Project Lifesaver is designed to locate missing people suffering from dementia, Autism and down syndrome who often wander off and get lost. A store that was only supposed to be temporary at the Colony Square mall has decided to stay.
When Toys 'R Us opened in November it was considered a pop up store and only was expected to stay through the holidays. Thanks to the amount of sales they saw the store has decided to stay at least a year.
"It's the next level of the test they'll be here for a year and if their sales continue to be strong they'll talk to us about long term," said Mall Marketing Manager.
Several charities win big at the Colony Square Mall's Festival of Giving.
This year the mall split $5,000 between nine local charities. Big Brothers/Big Sisters received 22 percent of the returned receipts and won big earning over $1,100. Executive Director Mollie Crooks said the money will be used to recruit, train and match bigs with littles.

The Colony Square Mall in Zanesville hosted a holiday parade Saturday that had one very special guest.
Twenty-five units took part in the tenth annual parade which included emergency service vehicles, dance teams, and of course santa claus himself. Santa was the last in the parade and rode by horse and carriage. Many of the participants threw candy for the kids as they waited for him to go by.
