It won't be long before shoppers at the Colony Square Mall in Zanesville start seeing holiday decorations.

Many retailers will be hiring seasonal workers to help control the holiday rush.  Business development coordinator Kevin Pinson said potential employees should begin the job search as soon as possible.

The sweet smell of fresh baked cookies is back in the air at the Colony Square Mall.

Since the departure of Mrs. Field's the Colony Square Mall hasn't had a place to stock up on the melt in your mouth treats. Now the ribbon has been cut on the Cookie Store. It's part of a franchise based out of Tennessee and is the second store for owner Danuta Connell.

Some locals are learning about the history of agriculture.

The Old Steam and Gas Club is showcasing more than 60 antique tractors at the Colony Square Mall in Zanesville. President Jan Schneider said it's important to preserve history.

"If we don't take these tractors and restore them and show them, they'll end up in a junkyard some place and nobody will know what our fathers and grandfathers used to raise food for our nation," he said.

With the royal wedding a month away becoming a princess is on the mind of Kate Middleton but, it is also on the mind of young girls in Muskingum County.

Saturday at Colony Square Mall little princesses took part in a princess party. Tickets to the party were $10.00 and proceeds go to the Southeastern Ohio Dance Theaters production of the Nutcracker. The walkways of the Colony Square Mall were much quitter Saturday morning.

The surge of Black Friday shoppers are now gone, but some shoppers still made it to the mall to pick up day after deals.

"Unfortunately I had to work yesterday so I wasn't able to get out and get the specials," said Pamela Lyall. "I just get the buys whenever I can."

For one shopper she not only went out on Black Friday, but went out again Saturday to get another gift.

Thousands braved the cold rain and crowds to catch some great deals, as early as midnight at the Colony Square Mall in Zanesville but for Black Friday shopper Aleena Tompkins, it wasn't so much the bargains.

The line inside the Colony Square Mall for Santa was a long one as kids patiently waited to meet with the big man from the north.

With their lists ready and a smile on their faces. Even the littlest children got into the Christmas spirit and some kids shared what they were asking for.

The holiday spirit is in full swing at the Colony Square mall.

Saturday lots of eager families braved the chilly weather in order to welcome Santa and the Christmas season. The West Muskingum Cheerleaders were taking part in the event and were looking forward to the parade and Christmas.

Santa's getting ready to come into town.

His seat may be empty, but he'll be ready for all the girls and boys next Saturday when he makes his debut at the Colony Square Mall. The facility has transformed just in time for the holiday season. It's taken the maintenance crew about 10 days to put everything together.
