The Coshocton County Sheriff's Office says they have a man in custody after a baby died from injuries sustained in a case of child abuse.

The sheriff's office says deputies were called to Coshocton Memorial Hospital on September 8th in reference to a seven month old child being the victim of apparent child abuse.

The Coshocton County Sheriff's Office has made an arrest after executing a search warrant. 

The search took place around 5:15pm Monday in the 21000 block of Tuscarawas Township Road 164 in Coshocton County. 

Authorities said they found a firearm, drugs, drug trafficking and manufacturing paraphernalia and cash.

A Coshocton woman is charged in connection with a fire last Wednesday.

The Coshocton County Sheriff's Office says 26-year-old Amber D. Edwards of Coshocton has been formally charged with Aggravated Arson, a first degree felony. 

The charge was in relation to the August 19th fire in the 800 block of South 2nd Street. Additional charges may be considered after review by the Coshocton County Prosecutor Jason Given.

The Coshocton County Sheriff's Office announced they recovered a large amount of drugs executing a search warrant, Tuesday night. 

Detectives said the search took place in the 55000 block of Adams Township Road 172 around 10pm.

As a result over 80 marijuana plants were recovered along with drug trafficking paraphernalia, firearms and a large amount of cash.

Five Amish children are injured during a horse and buggy accident in Coshocton County.

The sheriff's office said the call came in just after 5:30 Thursday afternoon at a residence at 24429 Township Road 113.

Deputies said it was determined that the horse got scared and rolled the buggy over injuring the children.

A West Lafayette man is dead following an accident Wednesday in Coshocton County.

According to the Coshocton County Sheriff's Office, it happened in the 20,000 block of County Road 124.  The sheriff's office says a pickup truck driven by 44-year-old Bryan T. UPDATE: The suspect, Mark A. Ray, was found just before 8:00 a.m. this morning. His truck was spotted on Morgan Run Rd and K-9 Units were able to locate him in a near by wooded area.

The Coshocton County Sheriff's Office said they arrested three men during a search of a home. 

The Sheriff's Office said just before 10pm Wednesday they executed a search warrant in the 700 block of South Sixth Street in the city of Coshocton.

Late Sunday morning, a woman was transported via Med-flight after an ATV accident. 

It happened in Coshocton County around 11:15 a.m. According to the Coshocton County Sheriff's Office, Stacy Patterson, 48 of Killbuck, was riding northbound on S.R. 60 when he lost control of the ATV. 

The accident occurred near 29806 S.R. 60. There is no word on Patterson's condition. He is at the OSU hospital for further evaluation.
