The Coshocton County Sheriff's Office said speed and possible alcohol use are suspected factors in a Tuesday afternoon accident.

Authorities said 29-year-old Sarah Nelisse of West Lafayette was flown to Grant Medical Center following the one vehicle crash around 2 p.m. on State Route 93.

Her two children ages 5 and 2 were also in the vehicle. They were taken to Coshocton Memorial and then to Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus.

One man is dead after a stabbing in Coshocton County.

The Coshocton County Sheriff's Office responded to a 911 call about a stabbing at the Cedar Street Inn at 12:15 a.m. Sunday morning.

 Matthew D. Gadfield, 18, of the Coshocton area was taken to Coshocton Memorial Hospital where he later died from his injury. One man is in custody in and is being held at the Coshocton County Sheriff's Office pending formal charges.

The Coshocton County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating an early morning shooting that ends the life of a Coshocton area man.

The sheriff's office said that just after 4:00 a.m. they received a 911 call advising that a 49-year-old David Gore had been shot in a residence in the 1100 block of West Chestnut Street.

He was taken to Coshocton County Memorial Hospital by Coshocton County EMS. He later died of his injuries.

The State Auditor said money is still owed to taxpayers by a former Coshocton County Sheriff's Lieutenant.

An audit released by the Ohio Auditor of State Dave Yost shows James MacDonald was sentenced to six months in jail in January. He was ordered to pay reinstitution to the county after it was discovered through surveillance that he had taken money from the sheriff's office cash register six times.

Authorities release the name of a suspect killed by a Coshocton County Sheriff's Deputy.

The suspect has been identified as 20-year-old David Stahl. He died at a Grant Medical Center on Wednesday.

The Coshocton County Sheriff's Office said that deputies tried to stop Stahl's truck after he crossed into the county from Muskingum County. Officials there were tried to stop him for traiffic violations.

Two men are under arrest following an investigation by the Coshocton County Sheriff's Office.

The Sheriff's Office said that around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, deputies attempted to serve warrants at 330 North 10th Street in Coshocton. While in the residence officers noticed drug related items.

A Coshocton County Sheriff's Deputy is on administrative leave following a shooting incident, Tuesday night that killed a man.

Coshocton County Sheriff Tim Rogers said it all began when law enforcement from New Concord chased an erratic male driver into Coshocton County. Deputies located the vehicle and began a pursuit. It ended on US 36 near Township Road 509.

The Coshocton County Sheriff's Office is releasing few details of an officer involved shooting.

Sheriff Timothy Rogers said the incident took place at 10:09 p.m. Tuesday night.

As a result one officer and one suspect were transported from the scene by Coshocton County EMS to Coshocton Memorial Hospital.

Michael Bahmer is being held pending filing of formal charges for pandering obscenity involving a minor a felony of the 2nd degree.
