In the wake of last Thursday's tornadoes, areas surrounding Perry County pulled together equipment to provide them with the help they needed. Muskingum County offered many of the necessary resources.

A water tank in Sonora needs some new paint and some repairs. The Muskingum County Commissioners opened up bids for the job on Thursday.

The half-million-gallon Sonora water tank needs repairs to the main line. In addition, the 149 foot tank needs new paint both inside and out.

Muskingum County Commissioners held a budget meeting for 2011, and say things are looking similar to last year.

Each department must put up their 'wish list' for 2011. The proposed budget is slightly more than $31 million which commissioners say will be cut down when the final budget is approved. They say that county expenditures are currently down by approximately $200,000 from last year.

Another mode of transportation could start to run through Muskingum and Perry counties again.

The Commissioners met today with those interested in restoring the Glass Rock Line which runs from Route 93 to 668 in Perry County.

This band has put on concerts for more than 90 years and now they need the community's support.

The Muskingum County Commissioners have approved the 2010 budget and say the county is fairing well when compared to others across the state of Ohio.

The approval took place last Friday.

Muskingum County may soon have a Foreign Trade Zone that will save local businesses money.

Commissioner Brian Hill says this will really be an advantage and benefit companies in Muskingum County.

The Muskingum County Commissioners are sending the County's wish list to U.S Senator Sherrod Brown.

Today the Muskingum County Commissioners are reviewing all the departments 2010 budget requests.

And as expected many departments heads had to make more cut-backs. Muskingum County Auditor Anita Adams says they did the best they could to trim costs.
