The Crooksville Ceramics will look to improve from a 5-5 record a year ago. The Ceramics will be led by 1st Team All-MVL selection Chaz Love.

The Ceramics will need a surge from this year's freshman class, which is expected to perform well this season.

The Highway Patrol says a sobriety checkpoint is planned for Perry County Friday.

Troopers say that it will happen on State Route 93 between Tunnel Hill Road and Ceramic Way in Crooksville. The checkpoint is scheduled to last from 9 p.m. until 1:00 a.m.

The sobriety checkpoint will be held in conjunction with nearby saturation patrol to aggressively combat alcohol-related injury and fatal crashes.

Crooksville Ceramic Larry Eiman took place in the 2016 National Archery in the Schools Program All-Star Championship in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The Crooksville junior won gold in the 3-D event while Team USA took home first-place honors in both 3-D and bullseye.

ZANESVILLE, Ohio - The opening celebration for the 51st Crooksville- Roseville Pottery Festival took place Thursday with a Plate Breaking Ceremony and Auction.

Perry County Sheriff William Barker says he is investigating an armed robbery that turned into a shooting. It happened Sunday night just after 7:00 pm at the South Side Carryout at 5200 Ceramic Road in Crooksville.
