The Perry County Sheriff's Office announces the arrest of two suspects in connection with a rash of burglaries in the county. 

Sheriff William Barker said on Sunday deputies and the Crooksville Police Department located a person of interest in regards to several burglaries in the Harrison Township area.

CROOSKVILLE, OHIO (WHIZ) - The Crooksville Police Chief says a medical condition may have been to blame for the death of 26-year-old Kayla Barnett. Hannah McClellan, a 14 year old girl diagnosed with Congenital Disorders of Glycosylation (CDG), a rare genitic disorder, had a dream to ride in a police car with the lights and sirens on.

The State Highway Patrol announces the location of  Friday's sobriety checkpoint in Perry County.

The checkpoint, which begins at 9p.m. and lasts until 1a.m., will take place on State Route 93 just north of Flint Ridge Road NE.

The checkpoint will be held in conjunction with the patrol and Crooksville Police Department.

The OVI checkpoint is funded by federal grant funds and is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers.

The Crooksville Police Department along with the Muskingum County Sheriff's Office makes multiple arrests in connection to several break-ins in both Perry and Muskingum Counties.

Lt. Mark Ross with the Muskingum County Sheriff's Office said around 1:30 Wednesday morning three people were seen at Village Park in Crooksville breaking into the concession stand at Crooksville High School's Football field as well as pop machines and the concession stand at the pool.
