A gas leak in the Crooksville area closed State Route 93 Friday evening.
According to scanner traffic there were at least two leaks reportedly from the same line at Watt Hill Road. Columbia Gas as well as Roseville, Crooksville, New Lexington, South Zanesville, and Zanesville Fire Departments responded to the leak but as they worked to assess and contain the situation they weren't available for comment.

State Route 93 in Crooksville is now open to traffic as repairs are completed on a large gas leak.
The Perry County Sheriff's Office said residents were able to return to their homes.
The Crooksville Fire Department reported Monday night the leak came from a 36" pipe near the area of 226 Watt Hill Road near State Route 93. Residents within a two mile radius from the leak were asked to leave their homes as fire department crews went door to door evacuating residents....
Chase Roberts found the end zone three times and Maysville raced past Crooksville, 41-15, in the MVL opener at Village Park. The Panthers jumped out to a 21-0 lead and carried a 21-8 advantage into the half. Roberts' touchdowns were on gains of 54, 51 and 47 yards. Maysville hosts New Lexington next Friday while Crooksville travels to John D. Sulsberger Stadium to battle Rosecrans next Saturday.
