The Zanesville Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying suspects from a recent armed robbery. Detective Sergeant Harry Taylor says it happened April 24th at the Dairy Mart at 714 Pine Street. Taylor says just before midnight a suspect, accompanied by two other male suspects, entered the store and robbed it. Police released some pictures of the suspects from the armed robbery. Anyone with information is asked to call Zanesville Police at (740) 455-0700.

A Zanesville man charged in connection to a fatal shooting  last summer outside the Dairy Mart has pleaded guilty to the crime.

Court records show that 24-year-old Tequane Boxley entered a guilty plea Friday  to one count of aggravated murder in the killing of 30- year-old William Young.

Zanesville Police say Young was shot in the neck last July while sitting in a car parked at the Dairy Mart on the corner of Pine and Baker Streets.

 Sgt. Jon McCoy with the Zanesville Police Department said that shots were fired in the area of the Dairy Mart on Pine St. Tuesday evening. The call came in just before 9 p.m.

A witness reports the shooter was pointing his weapon toward a group of females gathered in the parking lot. Zanesville Police are not releasing any other details. The incident remains under investigation.

An incident involving a gun at the Dairy Mart on Pine and Baker Streets occurred Saturday evening.

Sergeant Jon McCoy of the Zanesville Police Department said a man entered the Dairy Mart to purchase items when he was approached by another man from the Columbus area. Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz confirmed on Friday that two search warrants were served at the Dairy Mart on Pine Street in Zanesville and at a residence in Roseville in connection to food stamp fraud.

Sheriff Lutz explained, "That was a joint investigation. Obviously of our drug unit in the city were the ones heading that up and working with some state officials on that investigation with food stamp fraud. So we're putting that together as we speak."

A 26-year-old Zanesville man is being held on breaking and entering, two counts of theft, possession of drug paraphernalia and a probation violation.

Zanesville Police said the suspect walked into the Starfire Gas Station on Pine and Pershing, grabbed packages of cigarettes and walked out the door around midnight Monday.

Two hours later the same thing happened at the Dairy Mart on Pine Street, with the same brand of cigarettes being taken.

Authorities are still searching for the suspect charged in Saturday's fatal shooting in Zanesville.

On Monday 21-year-old Joseph Hampton was charged with shooting 21-year-old Dante Wolford at the Dairy Mart on Pine Street.  Zanesville Police Chief Eric Lambes said Hampton is still on the loose, but police are doing what they can to find him.

At about 8 o'clock Saturday night a shooting outside the Dairy Mart at the corner of Baker and Pine Street in Zanesville left one man dead. On Sunday, friends and family of the victim talked about who he was and what he leaves behind.
