The snow started late Sunday night and continued into the mid morning here in Zanesville. 

It even canceled schools across the area Monday. It led to a massive clean-up with people needing to be out shoveling and state and local crews out plowing. It even caused some difficulties for our Sunrise crew Monday morning.

The Girl Scouts took over Dillon State Park for their 2013 Friends and Fun Day.

Girls were able to try their hand at archery while others sampled items from their food catalog. There were different activities going on throughout the park for the community to get involved in.

For some people, Labor Day is another day off work. But for the Edwards family, it's the perfect opportunity for a family reunion.

A local park is the host for the largest rowing championship in Zanesville history.

The Midwest Scholastic Rowing Championship will take place at Dillon State Park May 11th and 12th. The regatta will host 48 teams from 7 states across the Midwest. Chamber Vice President,Kelly Ashby says this event will have a positive impact on local business.

A scary situation unfolded Wednesday afternoon at Dillon State Park.

Around 5:30, first responders from Falls and Licking Township Fire Departments were called to the beach after a one-year-old boy was pulled from the lake and was not breathing.

Warm weather had boaters flocking to the water Saturday.

At Dillon State Park some even took advantage of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Safety Boat checks.

The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency is removing a "bloom advisory" that was issued for Dillon Lake.

A spokesman says samples from the beach and marina at the state park yielded toxic-free results for the second week in a row. The Ohio EPA initially issued the advisory near the beginning of the month because of blue-green algae that had developed on the water.

Blue Rock State Park still has a no contact advisory in place even though samples taken last week at Cutler...
