On Monday, 5-year-old Francesca Dougherty and her parents went to the Pediatrics Department at Genesis Hospital with bags full of toys to donate to the hospital.

Francesca decided on her birthday last December that every gift she receives for Christmas would be given away to sick kids at the hospital.

A local family of five is coping with the loss of their home Monday.

Just Sunday night the Creech family in Frazeysburg lost their home to a fire that crews worked to control for more than five hours. The blaze started on the porch of the home and when father Mark Creech couldn't extinguish it, he called 911. When Frazeysburg, Dresden, and Licking Township Fire Departments arrived the home was fully engulfed and is now considered a total loss. Now the family is working to move on.

One Zanesville resident is using her past misfortunes as inspiration to bring warmth to others this winter.

Beck Wisecarver organized a community out-reach service called 'Beck Wisecarver's Lil Christmas Miracles.' Several of her close friends and volunteers helped her to hang hundreds of coats, gloves, and scarves throughout the downtown area. There was a note attached to each item that read "if you are cold please take this item to keep you warm, Someone loves you."

Due to cold weather and school closings Christ's Table needs your help now more than ever.

Golden Corral held its annual Military Appreciation Day Monday, November 17th.

From 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. veterans are invited to attend the 14th annual appreciation dinner where veterans and active duty military will receive a free dinner buffet and beverage.

The Annual Zaap Gallery Art Auction is just one day away and organizers are saying it's an event you don't want to miss.

A group of about eight women at Primrose Retirement Community have spent the last two months making fleece blankets for Transitions, a domestic violence shelter that serves women and children in Muskingum, Morgan and Perry counties.

On Tuesday, the Moose Lodge presented the Muskingum County Hunger Network and the Muskingum Valley Miracle League each with a check totaling over $4600. Moose Lodge Administrator Ron Baughman said it took about a year of fundraising to make the donations possible.

It takes more than just food and volunteers to keep Christ's Table running.

Executive Director Keely Warden knows that all too well. While Warden is thankful for the "great group of donors" that donate to Christ's Table, she says she wants to reach out to the youth in our community and also try to get residents to commit to donating on a monthly basis.
