Starting this morning people traversed Dresden to experience the first ever Legacy Day in the village.

The event was conceived by the people of Dresden coming together and wanting to expand on the diverse history from the area. President of the Dresden community association Steve Wilson says the event allows the village to showcase its history.

 According to Water Clerk, Amy Toorman, there has been a small water break in Dresden. The break will effect West 9th St. and Lois Dr. Crews are on scene and according the Toorman the situation is expected to be resolved quickly.

The cold and wind chills didn't deter people from attending Dresden's annual holiday parade Saturday.

The Muskingum County commissioners were supposed to be presented with multiple bids for road resurfacing in both Philo and Dresden Monday morning.

However, there was only one bid for Philo repairs and no bids for Dresden.

 The Muskingum County Emergency Management Agency reported a significant amount of an oil-like substance in the Muskingum river Sunday evening.

The substance has been found as far north as Tuscarawas and goes through Coshocton and Muckingum Counties and ends near the lock and dam area in Zanesville. The village of Dresden, known for its sweet melons is hosting the 7th annual Dresden Melon Festival this Saturday.

There are events runing all day starting with a fishing derby at 6 a.m. Dresden Mayor Dave Matthew said there's a taste of a little bit of everthing.

A day after one confirmed tornado and a second possible tornado passed through southeast Ohio, the local EMA is surveying what all happened.

The Ohio Department of Transportation unveiled a new maintenance facility Wednesday, right here in Muskingum County.

Its been nearly nine years since Sergeant Brad Harper passed away, Harper was in combat in Iraq when he paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

The problem of arson in Dresden is real. Village council members met on Thursday to talk about offering reward money to help find the person responsible.

For five years the village has been dealing with the work of an arsonist. The latest fire was set at 95 S.Chestnut Street in January and Dresden Mayor, David Mathew hopes that offering a reward will encourage people to come forward with information.
