Your summer destination could be right here in Zanesville. Kelly Ashby of the Zanesville/ Muskingum Chamber of Commerce says in 2010 visitors brought $117 million to the area in sales alone.

Now the visitors bureau is promoting Dresden and on Thursday they distributed 125,00 new vistor guides to the surrounding area; all of which  include Dresden on the cover.

The Dresden community is helping out one of its own.

Sons of the American Legion Post 399 is hosting a benefit for Andrew Prince. He is a Staff Sergeant in the Air Force and was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma several months ago. He is currently receiving treatment in Arizona. The group wanted to raise money to help ease his medical expenses.

Two people are transported to the hospital following a serious injury crash on State Route 60 in Dresden.

It happened around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday near State Route 208.

According to the Zanesvile Post of the State Highway Patrol, 23-year-old Noah Everly driving a Nissan Maxima was traveling southbound and went left of center striking 34-year-old Goran Zarov head on. He was driving a white BMW.

A local charity run this weekend is honoring a local soldier who died in battle.

An area marine's memory lives on through the 6th Annual October Fest run. It was something he and a co-worker helped organize in the village of Dresden. After Brad Harper was killed in Iraq back in 2005 his co-worker decided to keep the 5k run going but rename it to Let Freedom Run.

The Village of Dresden says some of its customers will lose water service next Tuesday and Wednesday.

Superintendent Russ Davis says service will be interrupted both days from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. for a main line water valve installation. The purpose of the work is to be able to isolate smaller areas of the system in emergency situations.

The Village of Dresden officially kicked off its Homecoming celebration Wednesday night.

This year's Homecoming theme is "Home of the Free... Because of our Brave." They began the festivities with their annual Homecoming Parade.

The Muskingum County Sheriff's Office is working to make more than just the streets safer.
