Three people are taken into custody after a drug bust in Perry County.

Sgt. Kevin Starrett says on Thursday deputies along with members of the Muskingum County Sheriff's Office Special Response Team executed search warrants at 7650 Number 8 Hollow Road in New Lexington.

Starrett says deputies recovered a large quantity of marijuana, an undisclosed amount of currency and firearms from the property.

Six people are in custody after a drug bust at a Muskingum County apartment complex.

It happened at 7300 Woodberry Drive, off the Maysville Pike.

Sheriff Matt Lutz says four male adults, one female adult, and one juvenile were escorted from the scene. Deputies recovered a firearm, some prescription pills, and an undisclosed amount of cash.

He says his office will be talking with the prosecutor to see if all six individuals will be charged. Their names will not be released...

Two Perry County men are arrested after a drug bust Friday night.

The Perry County Sheriff's Office along with the Crooksville Police Department conducted a search at 27 South Buckeye Street in Crooksville.

Sergeant Kevin Starrett says the search occurred after his office purchased methadone from 38-year-old Brian Hanna. Deputies also collected additional methadone, other prescribed drugs, and a small amount of money. There were seven children home at the time of the bust,...

An ongoing drug investigation led to the arrest of two people at 206 Mead Street this past Tuesday.

The Muskingum Sheriff's Office says 28-year-old James Allen Wade is charged with trafficking drugs. 26-year-old Darrin Michael Wade is also charged with trafficking drugs, with a juvenile specification and possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. There was an additional arrest made at the residence as well.

Arrests are made after the Muskingum County Sheriff's Office conducts multiple drug busts in Zanesville.

The first happened around 1:30 Tuesday afternoon at 206 Mead Street.

A man arrested following a drug bust was arraigned in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court  Wednesday.

21-year-old Marcus Moore of Zanesville pled not-guilty to a second-degree-felony charge of trafficking in cocaine. Moore was arrested in March when the Muskingum County Sheriff's Office pulled over a vehicle in the parking lot of Zane State College and found more than 360 grams of cocaine, valued at $73,000. Three other people in the vehicle were questioned and released.

Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz says a month-long drug investigation has resulted in the arrest of one area man.

Lutz says 21-year-old Marcus Moore of 808 Dryden Road, along with three other individuals were taken into custody in the parking lot at Zane State College and questioned at the Sheriff’s Office on Monday.

The Perry County Prosecutor brings formal charges against three of the five New Lexington residents arrested last week in two seperate drug busts.

The Perry County Prosecutor's Office says that 56-year-old Joseph Westwood is charged with a fifth degree felony of permitting drug abuse. He has a hearing scheduled for March 23rd. 27-year-old Shelia and 29-year-old Jason Ratliff both face a felony count of trafficking in heroin.

An investigation leads to the arrest of five Perry County residents.

Perry County Sheriff's Sergeant Kevin Starrett says Friday morning just minutes after 3 the Perry County Sheriff's Office along with the New Lexington and Crooksville Police Departments served two search warrants in New Lexington, one at 320 East Water Street the other 647 Center Street.

The warrants were a result of a three month investigation into the trafficking of heroin in the presence of juveniles....
