Food trucks have become popular in the Muskingum County area.

We spoke to local Army Veteran John Harper the Chef for Pucky's Pit stop located in Duncan Falls. He's been in the food truck business with his wife for about a month and he said he wants to see more food trucks come to the area.

The Duncan Falls Fire Chief said his house shifted an inch or two after a car collided with it Sunday afternoon.

The incident began when a Chevy Cruise headed north bound on State Route 60 struck a white Jeep Cherokee that failed to yield at a stop sign at the intersection of Mill street and State Route 60.

A new pizza place has plans to open in Duncan Falls within the next week.

After numerous delays, the Ohio Department of Transportation announced Tuesday that state route 60 south will soon re-open to traffic.

Public Information Officer Erika Pfeifer says the roadway just south of Duncan Falls will reopen by 5 p.m. Wednesday,

Iniitially, ODOT  had hoped to have the road reopened by the end of September.

The contractor,  Shelly and Sands,  started receiving a $3,500  fine for every day the road went unopened after September...

A two car accident with severe injuries occurred on State Route 60 Thursday evening.

It happened around 6PM at mile post 9 which is about a half mile north of Duncan Falls. The accident initially closed the highway in both directions. The southbound lane was re-opened at 6:45pm to let both sides of traffic pass. Lieutenant Matt Boyd of the Zanesville Post of the Highway Patrol explained what happened.

The Ohio Department of Transportation said construction on a rock wall along State Route 60 is going smoothly and even running a little ahead of schedule.

Construction began on the wall in mid-July, shutting down a section of State Route 60 just south of Duncan Falls.  ODOT's Ericka Pfeifer said the goal of the project is to move the wall back away from the roadway to ensure the safety of drivers.

A project that will close State Route 60 south of Duncan Falls for the next few months is now underway.

The roadway is scheduled to re-open on September 15th. The Ohio Department of Transportation will be drilling directly into the rock and removing it. They will then use wire mesh to contain the rock wall east of the road.

The entire road is closed due to the narrow route. The workers will need the entire road to work to avoid being pinned between falling rock and moving traffic...

The Ohio Department of Transportation wants motorists to be aware of a major road closure set for next week.

State Route 60 will be closed in both directions about a mile south of Duncan Falls starting Monday, July 14. The closure will last until September 15.

ODOT said during this time crews will work on the eastern rock slope. Rock will be removed and steel mesh protection installed to ensure the safety of drivers and prevent potential rock falls from entering the roadway.
