The Zanesville-Muskingum County Port Authority is looking to expand two rail projects at the Eastpointe Business Park.

At Wednesday's meeting, discussions were held regarding the engineering needed for the rail extensions that would allow for easier loading for companies like Halliburton.

It's now official; the Zanesville-Muskingum County Port Authority has signed an agreement for energy provider Halliburton to move into the Eastpointe Business Park.

The agreement was signed Friday after a 60-day due diligence period, and will bring 300 jobs to the area.

Executive Director, Mike Jacoby hopes that the Halliburton deal will lead to more development deals with other big-name companies in the future.

The Muskingum County Port Authority discusses option for rail at the Eastpointe Business Park.

As the year winds down the Zanesville-Muskingum County Port Authority continues to work at finishing projects.

Currently, the Port is hoping to continue improving the Eastpointe Business Park by adding new signage to the new entrance. The Kessler Sign Company would create the lighted sign.

The Board said that since so much work has gone into that are it's important to make it a premier feature in our area.

The city of Zanesville is working with Muskingum County to help truckers find a better route to the Eastpointe Business Park.

It's an issue that was brought up at the Muskingum County Transportation Improvement District meeting. It's mainly affecting those traveling from the Interstate 70 eastbound lanes.

Muskingum County has put millions of dollars into the job ready site in the EastPointe Business Park and today officials got to show off all their hard work.

Muskingum Growth Partnership sponsored a luncheon for developers and county officals at the job ready site in hopes of selling the site to a developer. Around 60 people attended the luncheon and received information about the 300 acre site.
