 Over 500 families and members of the community were able to enjoy a very special dinner Friday.

Christ's Table is a place where everyone is welcome to get a hot holiday meal, including Easter dinner. Friday, each child received an Easter basket with toys in addition to the Easter dinner. The upcoming school year is right around the corner, and the cost of new shoes for kids can be overwhelming.

The figures are out. The annual SOUPer Bowl raised over $13,000 for local charitable organizations.

Fellowship of Christ's Community, Christ's Table, Muskingum County Center for Seniors, Eastside Community Ministries and the Salvation Army all received $2,640. Co-Chair Mary Burkhart said the funds will help provide for thousands of meals for Christ's Table.

While most people like to sleep in on their holiday day off, runners from around the area hopped out of bed bright and early for the 7th Annual Race for Grace on Thursday.

Many kids plan their first day of school outfit weeks in advance, and with any good outfit it starts with the shoes.

Over 1,000 area kids will soon be sporting a new pair of shoes.

It's all a part of the annual "Lace Up for Kids" program. Now that all the shoes have been collected, Wednesday began the preparations for the big giveaway.
