Muskingum County Center for Seniors Still in Search of Temporary Building
MUSKINGUM COUNTY, OHIO (WHIZ) - After a ceiling leak at the Muskingum County Center for Seniors, the organization is still looking for a temporary home. Muskingum County Commissioner, Jim Porter says they hope to be back at the center in 15 to 30 days
Spring is on the horizon and so is Spring cleaning. Elder Beerman and Goodwill Industries have partnered together to give people motivation to donate, rather than throw out, gently used items you no longer want.
From now until March 28th, for each item you donate to Goodwill you can get up to 25 percent off items at Elder Beerman. At the Colony Square Mall, Elder Beerman has donation bins throughout the store. Store Manager, Annie Wolfer, said it's an easy way to clean out your closet...
Elder Beerman and Goodwill hosted their annual Stuff the Truck event Saturday.
A Goodwill truck was parked behind the department store and there was one goal in mind; to stuff the truck with all sorts of things.
"We do this twice a year and it is great to see such participation for all of the customers. They get their merchandise, they use their coupon and they know all about the event," Annie Wolfer, Store Manager.
A local retailer is asking the community to donate items for a good cause.
As a part of a national effort, Elder Beerman in Zanesville and the Goodwill are teaming up for the "Goodwill Sale." The campaign began in 1994 as a way to help put people back to work and to also generate revenue for the organization.

Saturday is the first "Stuff The Truck" event for the Elder Beerman located in the Colony Square Mall. The goal is to have customers fill a Goodwill truck with clean, gently used clothing and household textiles. Store manager at Elder Beerman, Annie Wolfer, says Goodwill is thrilled for the event.
