A day after one confirmed tornado and a second possible tornado passed through southeast Ohio, the local EMA is surveying what all happened.

Muskingum University in New Concord was evacuated and closed on Thursday after a bomb threat.

Muskingum County Emergency Management Agency Director Bo Keck says that at around 12:45 p.m. the school received a bomb threat via the university's 1-800 number. Officials asked all students, faculty and visitors to vacate the premises in order to facilitate a campus wide investigation.

The Muskingum County Emergency Management Agency spent Sunday preparing for potentially dangerous storms.

Muskingum County didn't sustain substantial damage from Sunday night's storm, but that doesn't mean the EMA wasn't staying busy preparing for the worst.  EMA Director Bo Keck says his biggest concern was tracking the storm and keeping in constant contact with the National Weather Service.

The Muskingum County Sheriff's Office received to a call at 1:21 p.m. Monday afternoon about an 18-year-old male trapped in a ditch after it collapsed on McGlade School Road in Dresden.

The Muskingum County Emergency Management Agency works to supply first responders working on hazmat spills, storm clean-up or any other disaster, with what they need to successfully complete the task. Muskingum County is making an attempt to make its residents more informed and protect them in case of emergency through a new system.

The Muskingum County Emergency Management Agency was called to the scene of a car-garbage truck accident this morning that resulted in a fuel spill.

It happened around 10 AM at the intersection of Northpointe and Fairview roads. Zanesville police say the driver of the truck failed to yield at a flashing red light and crashed into a car.
