 Unfortunately, tragedies don't always stop for holidays, and the firefighters at the Zanesville Fire Department are always ready in the case of an emergency. That doesn't mean, though, they can't enjoy a delicious meal for the holiday.

While most of us have to wait for Thanksgiving to satisfy our holiday taste buds, Muskingum County Head Start indulged early, at their annual Thanksgiving meal.

Over 250  pre-school students and their parents were invited to attend a Thanksgiving feast at Coburn United Methodist Church Thursday, November 13th. The annual meal included chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes, and Head Start student Olivia's favorite, cake.

The family of a local woman who was abducted and murdered earlier this week is keeping her memory alive.

26-year- old Kayla Thompson's life was cut short when she was abducted and murdered while performing her job as a delivery girl for Plus 1 Pizza in Cambridge. She never expected that her delivery to McPherson Avenue would be the last. It's an excuse for kids to get decked out in their Halloween-best, while bringing a sense of pride to one Zanesville neighborhood.

Father's Day is every day for Forever Dads, which is why they are hosting a day for fathers to spend quality time with their families.  Due to inclement weather, All-Star Dad's Day had to be rescheduled to Saturday, June 26 at the Muskingum Family YMCA on Adams Lane. The memories of what happened last week are still fresh in the minds of one Zanesville family.

Michael and Annie Duling lost their 1025 Ohio Street home to a fire. They have received some aide from the Muskingum Valley Red Cross, their landlord, and their church and are staying at a local inn with their six kids, including a special needs child.
