In a press release, the Ohio State Highway Patrol confirmed the names of the people involved in Saturday night's fatal accident.
Cory Cox, 33 of Newark was pronounced dead at the scene. He was driving a 2014 Harley Davidson eastbound on S.R. 16 when Bryan Welsh, 49 of Coshocton, who was also heading eastbound failed to maintain an assured clear distance ahead and struck Cox's motorcycle in the rear.

The State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal accident that occurred Friday in Licking County.
It happened shortly after 3:00 p.m. on State Route 16 in Granville Township. According to the patrol, James B. Loats, 46, of Granville was traveling eastbound on State Route 16 in a 2003 Ford Taurus. His vehicle then traveled left of center and struck a 2014 Mack truck driven by 57-year-old David C. Edwards of Somerset.
