A Franklin Ohio man is dead following a Tuesday evening one-vehicle accident near Stovertown.

State Troopers say around 7:30 Tuesday evening, two people were walking in the northbound lanes of State Route 555 going soutbound after their vehicle ran out of gas. Two vehicles were traveling south on 555 when one of the vehicles attempted to pass.

State Patrol Troopers investigate a fatal accident in Licking County.

The accident took place on Raccoon Valley Road west of Louden Street in Granville Township around 1:10 Sunday afternoon.

Troopers said 37-year-old Richard Hardy of Columbus was driving his 2004 Ford Escape west on Raccoon Valley Road when it went off the right side of the roadway in a curve. The vehicle then traveled down an embankment, striking a culvert where it then overturned and ejected Hardy.

The Zanesville Highway Patrol says a 79-year-old woman was killed and another person was injured in a two vehicle accident this morning in Zanesville. It happened just before 8:30 at the intersection of Dresden and Richey Roads. Troopers says 21-year-old Michael Wells of Zanesville was driving south on Dresden in a pick-up truck and 79-year-old Mary Corder, also of Zanesville was traveling east on Richey in an SUV. A Zanesville woman reported missing Monday morning is found dead in the Licking River.

Zanesville Police Captain Miller said the family of 50-year-old Mary Knipe reported her missing to Zanesville Police around 4am when the Dialysis Center called and said she failed to show for her 2am appointment.

A call of a wrecked minivan in the Licking River off Licking Road was reported about 20 minutes later to the State Highway Patrol.

The State Highway Patrol said alcohol appears to be a factor in a crash that leaves one person dead Wednesday evening.

Troopers with the Lancaster Post of the State Highway Patrol said that just after 5pm 34-year-old Phillip Oliver, of Columbus, was traveling west on US 22 enar Avalon Road when he lost control on his 1992 Honda Accord, traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a utility pole.

One person is dead after a two vehicle fatal Friday night.

The accident took place on State Route 146 and Coon Ridge Road around 9:30pm. According to the Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol a 1994 Honda Accord, driven by 19-year-old Adam Masters of Woodsfield, was travelling east on State Route 146 when a 2004 Honda Odyssey, driven by 68-year-old Bernard Blackford of Zanesville, turned left in front of the Accord and was struck on the right side.

 Charges are filed in Muskingum County Court against a Conesville man, who was involved in an accident that took the life of a local man.

73-year-old George Holland is charged with vehicular homicide, vehicular manslaughter, and failing to stop at a stop sign-all of which are misdemeanor counts.

Holland is set to be arraigned in court on October 8th at 9 a.m.
