A family friend of an 18-year-old Crooksville teen, who died from a hit-skip accident last weekend, is prepared to offer a $1,000 reward for anyone who can shed light on the incident.
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, has set up the fund with the Crooksville Police Department. Anyone with information is asked to contact Deputy Chief Joe Carr or the Lancaster Post of the State Highway Patrol.

The Granville Post of the State Highway Patrol says its investigating an incident on I-70 Eastbound that resulted in the death of a man. Trooper says around 1:00 pm 63-year-old Roberta Snedden of Brownsville was driving East on I-70 in Licking County, when the right front passenger fell out of the right front window. The Patrol identifies the passenger as 60-year-old Robert Snedden Jr., also of Brownsville…The driver’s husband. Mr. Snedden was pronounced dead at the scene...
The New Philadelphia Post of the State Highway Patrol is still investigating a crash that has left a Byesville woman dead.
It happened on Interstate 77 near mile post 76 on Monday.
Lieutenant Eric Escola says 57-year-old Josephine Rice went off the left side of the road, overcorrected into the right lane, and went off the left side of the road again before striking a guardrail. The force of the impact caused the car to overturn several times in the median.
A Newark woman was killed in a two vehicle crash Friday morning on Ohio 37 in near Granville.
The Granville Post of the Highway Patrol says 21-year-old Jessica Buchanon was driving east on 37, went left of center and slammed head-on into a semi-tractor trailer. It was driven by 43-year-old Nicholas Roberts, also of Newark.
Troopers say weather was not a factor in the crash and its possible Buchanon fell asleep at the wheel.
