The 23rd annual Festival of Trees auction concluded with big bids, and even bigger profits.

Chamber President Tom Poorman said the auction generated more than $50,000. He said he was pleasantly surprised with the outcome.

Going once. Going twice. Sold. It's a wrap! The 23rd Annual Festival of Trees is over. Friday night's auction concluded in a big way.

This year's auction had more entries than last year and even surpassed this year's goal. And this biggest selling item was WHIZ's adverting package with three companies bidding on it. Chamber President Tom Poorman said the auction raised over $50,000. The chamber looks forward to next year's fundraiser.

The 23rd annual Festival of Trees took place Friday at the Zanesville-Muskingum County Welcome Center.

Just as Santa arrives on Main St., the Festival of Trees will light up the Welcome Center for the 23rd year.

The annual fundraiser begins its three day display Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Friday the primped pine trees with incentive packages will go up for bid. The Chamber of Commerce hopes to raise almost $50,000 this year.

This year's Miracle on Main street is taking shape as a Storybook Christmas.
