The Zanesville Fire Department is investigating a Monday morning fire. It happened around 3:30 at 332 Brighton Boulevard. Chief Dave Lacy says the blaze started in a second floor bedroom and did major damage. He says it appears the cause was some type of electrical problem. The Zanesville Fire Department is investigating a house fire at 1303 Lake Drive.

Assistant Fire Chief Bruce Burley reports that at around 5 p.m. on Saturday the dryer in the laundry room on the first floor caught on fire causing extensive damage to the home. It took crews about ten minutes to put out the fire.

The Red Cross is assisting Gerald Fowler and his family who are now displaced. No one was home at the time of the incident.

The State Fire Marshal's Office continues to investigate a Thursday morning fire in Muskingum County.

The fire broke out around 3:00 a.m. at 6910 Burkhart Road.

Spokesperson Shane Cartmill says the fire originated in the living room but the cause of the fire has not yet been determined .

He says the three male occupants in the home managed to escape without injury.

Investigators found no smoke detectors in the home.

The Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office says the National Trails Fire Department was called to an early Thursday morning fire. It happened at 6510 Burkart Road. Not many details are being released but the Muskingum Valley Red Cross was called to assist three people on the scene. The cause of the fire remains unknown and the State Fire Marshall’s Office has been called to help with the investigation.

One person was hurt this morning in a house fire in Zanesville Friday. It happened at 10-16 Sunset Avenue. Zanesville Fire Chief Davy Lacy says two people were inside the home when the fire broke out and one female was taken to Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital for treatment. The exact cause of the injury was not disclosed. The home is owned by Jonathan Cronin. He was home at the time of the fire but was not hurt. The State Fire Marhsal's Office says a weekend fire in Zanesville appears to be accidental. Spokesman Shane Cartmill says there's no indication any criminal act took place.

The fire broke out around 1 p.m. Sunday at 4545 Church Hill Road. The structure was fully engulfed by the time crews got to the scene.

A Zanesville family is homeless after a Sunday afternoon fire.

The Washington Township Fire Department was dispatched to John Burwell's home at 4545 Church Hill Road. Firefighters say they could see smoke from their firehouse, several miles away. When they arrived at the scene, Captain Adam Siddle says the structure was completely engulfed.

A Zanesville home suffers major damage following a late Saturday afternoon fire.

It happened around 3:45 p.m. at 3515 Ridge Avenue.

Smoke was visible several miles from the home. Upon arrival, crews say they found heavy smoke coming from the front door. The Coshocton Fire Department says overheating appears to be the cause of a fire at a local manufacturing processing plant.

Crews were dispatched to Wiley Organics on South Sixth Street just after 10:30 Saturday morning.
