Dillon Falls Store is hosting its first-ever catfish tournament Friday at 7:00 p.m. Fishermen can register at Riverside Park's boat ramp which is where the tournament will kick-off.

"We just tell everybody to go there, sign-up showing that they're gonna be in it. They can fish all night. At 7 O'clock, make sure to bring in their two biggest fish, we'll weigh them in at that time," said Kathy McCann, owner of Dillon Falls Store.

33 club members set their lines at the third fishing tournament of the year at Dillon Lake and by 3:00 p.m. they caught a total of 59 bass which were released back into the lake.

"Today was eight hours from 7-3:00p.m. We always start like the first week or the second week in April and we end in late October," said Kenny Simpson, V.P. of the Y-City Bass Club.

One local father got to spend Father's Day with his children for the first time in years.

Gerald Rice has lived in Wyoming for the past ten years, and after moving back six months ago, there's nowhere he'd rather be.

Do you ever wonder what other people are up to on Memorial Day weekend?

At Dillon Park, it seemed like there wasn't a person without a fishing rod and a cooler.

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife is asking local fisherman to take part in an online survey.

Questions will surround some fishing regulations, use of a fishing forecast, fishing restrictions, and how water sources across the state fair. You will also be allowed to add additional comments.

The survey can be filled out through the end of September.

The department says it plans to use that information to improve fishing in Ohio.

Ohio is known for its great fishing waters.

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources wants people to take advantage of them. So it's holding "Free Fishing Days" next weekend. On May 1st and 2nd, people will be allowed fish in any creek, river, or lake without a fishing license, but once these free fishing days pass, individuals will be required to purchase a 19 dollar license if they have anything further plans to remove fish, turtle, or any other creatures from Ohio's water...

 Local kids casted off at Tri-Valley Wildlife for the 12th annual JAKES Day.

JAKES stands for, Juniors Acquiring Knowledge Ethics and Sportsmanship. Around 80 kids, ages 17 and under, were learning different aspects of the outdoors. The most popular events are fishing, archery and BB gun shooting.
