The Zanesville-Muskingum County Health Department and other area partners held a flu shot clinic Thursday.

Flu activity is on the rise in Ohio and the Ohio Department of Health is encouraging people to get vaccinated.

Record crowds swarmed the Muskingum County fairgrounds today to get free seasonal flu shots.
But the free clinic ran out of flu shots around four this afternoon, three hours before the clinic was scheduled to close.
