In coordination with 'Operation Feed' the local postal service held its 24th Annual 'Stamp Out Hunger' food drive on Saturday, May 14th.

Local postal workers picked up non-perishable food items donated from the public of Muskingum County.

The Muskingum County Hunger Network is hosting a food drive to benefit Operation Feed Friday.

You can donate money or non-perishable items at both Wal-mart locations in Zanesville from noon until 6 p.m. All donations will benefit the 15 food pantries and four hot meal programs in the local area.

A joint food drive by the Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol and New Concord Police Department surpasses the goal for the event. 

The agencies had hoped to collect 200 pounds of food at last week's event. However, State Patrol Sgt. Melanie Appleman, said the drive brought in more than 1300 pounds in addition to cash donations.

The State Highway Patrol is partnering with the New Concord Police Department in the fight against hunger in the local community.

The South Zanesville Church of Nazarene is giving back to the community one pint at a time.

The church hosted a blood drive and food drive on Saturday.  Church member Glee Patterson said blood is in high demand right now.

A local church is gearing up to serve others.

A local mother and daughter are doing their part to help the Salvation Army annual food basket distribution effort. Misty Hill and her Philo Junior High School daughter, Mallory, saw that the there was a shortage of food at the Salvation Army and started asking friends and students from the Franklin Local Schools for help.
