In celebration of the start of a new school year, the high school is planning a bunch of activities for students and staff, and it starts with their first home football game.

"One of the activities is the home football game. It's the first time that there's ever been a home football game behind our building," said Principal Jennifer Mallett. "And that's to help us celebrate what's gonna be happening in our school this year."

New York Giants center, Jimmy Cordle stopped by Falls Elementary School Friday morning to deliver a $200 check to the students and faculty as part of a literacy challenge he started last year after learning about the need in the West Muskingum School District.

The Muskingum Valley and Licking County All-Star Game is set for Friday, July 20th in Newark at Historic White Field.  Kickoff time is 7:00 and you can listen to the game live on Z-92 beginning with pre-game coverage about 15 minutes before kickoff.  The game will also re-air on WHIZ-TV on Saturday afternoon at 3:00.
