One of the biggest challenges teams face as they prepare for an all-star game is a new system.  A new system involves new teammates, coaches and plays.

Muskingum Valley faces this challenge as they prepare for Friday's Muskingum Valley Licking County All-Star Game. Muskingum Valley will feature 19 All-Ohioans from this past season, as well as, a coach who will make his second all-star appearance as a head coach.

Muskingum Valley held its first practice for this year's Muskingum Valley-Licking County All-Star Game.  This year's contest will be held June 24th from Newark White Field.  Muskingum Valley leads the all-time series, 18-16.  The game will be broadcast on Z92 and will air on delay on WHIZ on Saturday, June 25.

Zanesville head coach Chad Grandstaff will lead the South all-star team in this year's OHSFCA North-South All-Star Game.  Kickoff will be April 30th from Welcome Stadium in Dayton, Ohio at 4 PM.  

This will be Grandstaff's third time coaching in the North-South game, as he has been an assistant in previous years.  Along with Grandstaff, Zanesville's Leo Crosby, Drew Hoskinson and Tri-Valley defensive lineman Hunter Polk will also represent the South.

Ohio State held its annual spring game this afternoon with the Gray coming away with the win 28-17 behind 3 touchdowns from quarterback Joe Burrow

Today was the beginning of practices for this year's North-South All-Star Game.  The contest will feature Zanesville linebacker Leo Crosby, Tri-Valley defensive lineman Hunter Polk and Zanesville head coach Chad Grandstaff.

Kickoff will be April 30 from Welcome Stadium.  The Division 4-7 game will begin at 11 am and the Division 1-3 game will begin shortly after at 4 pm.

 Meadowbrook senior quarterback Dalton Wiggins has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career next season at Cincinnati Christian University.  

The senior dual-threat quarterback suffered a collarbone injury early in the regular season, but was able to make a comeback in week 8 and helped the Colts reach their first playoff game in school history.

Wiggins has been awarded numerous honors during his high school career, including being named a third team...

Zanesville running back De'Aunte Goins is officially going to be a collegeiate athlete next season at Hocking College.  The senior made it official yesterday at Zanesville High School.

Hocking College is a junior college in Nelsonville, Ohio and competes in the NJCAA Division 12.  This is just one of  the accomplishments for the senior running back.  Earlier this year, he was awarded the Art Teynor Award.

Legendary Sheridan football coach Paul Culver Jr. retired from his post after 35 seasons at the helm, but the Culver name will continue to stomp the sidelines in Thornville this fall.

Paul Culver III was approved at a school board meeting Thursday night to succeed his father as the Generals' next football coach.

The Muskingum County Courthouse shines blue and white to show support for the Zanesville Blue Devil football team.  Zanesville will travel to Paul Brown Tiger Stadium on Friday to take on Archbishop Hoban for a final four matchup with the winner advancing to the state finals.
