Local scouts and cheerleaders held a carwash today at the Golden Corral to raise money for Children's Miracle Network supporting the Nationwide Children's Hospital. Project Coordinator, Jeffery Brewer, says that cars showed up an hour early to get in line for the carwash. "It's a great community event and supports a great worthy cause," says Brewer.
Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Zanesville High School cheerleaders helped to make this event a great fundraising opportunity.

For three years the Salvation Army has put on a mystery dinner as a fundraiser for it's programs. This year the mystery dinner is set in the 60s and 70s. And Captain Ralph Cambpell says, the organization really needs the community's support.

Residents in Frazeysburg struck a pose Sunday to help the local fire department.
The Frazeysburg Volunteer Fire Department sent out mailers weeks ago asking locals for a donation to the fire department. With a donation, families could come to the fire station Sunday to have a free 8 x 10 portrait taken by Color Craft Family Portraits. For each family photographed, the fire department receives $10 dollars and a free smoke detector.
One local restaurant is helping families around the area, who might not even know it.
The Bob Evans restaurant on Underwood Street held a fundraiser tonight, donating fifteen-percent of it's proceeds to the Carr Center's speech therapy program.
