An issue allowing for new stadium field lighting at Gant Municipal Stadium is tabled at city council this evening.

The ordinance, which would allow $185,000 to be awarded for the lighting upgrade was tabled because of the possibility of stimulus funding for the project.

Mayor Howard Zwelling says he will find out Oct. 23 whether or not they will receive the money.

The ordinance will be tabled until the next meeting, Oct. 26. Council will then vote on the ordinance.
