Area seniors can take advantage of a new health insurance program.

Genesis HealthCare System is partnering with Mount Carmel Health Plan to offer Medicare Advantage plans under the brand name MediGold.  Genesis CEO Matthew Perry said MediGold is a not-for-profit, hospital-owned Medicare Advantage program based in Ohio.

Genesis Healthcare System patients now have the ability to access many of their personal health records securely with just a click of a mouse.

Genesis HealthCare System is moving forward with its planning for the new medical center.

The $125 million facility will be built on the grounds of Bethesda Hospital in Zanesville.  Chief Development Officer Alan Burns said Genesis HealthCare System is reaching out to local contractors.

The Genesis HealthCare Foundation is well on its way to reaching a fundraising goal for a new medical center.

Sudden cardiac arrest takes about 300,000 lives every year, but Genesis is trying to lower that statistic.

Fewer trauma patients will need to be transported from Genesis Hospital to Columbus.
