More than 100 golfers teed-up Saturday  for a good cause.

It's a story that goes to show that even miles away, people can make a difference in someone's life.

A local family learned their 8-year-old son had been diagnosed with Pediatric Cancer. As the reality of their son's diagnosis set-in, his mother Cindy Bish, turned to an online blog as her means of coping. Golfers are hitting the course to help out an area college.

Zane State College Foundation held its 25th Annual Golf Outing on Monday at Eaglesticks Golf Club. the event helps raise money to create scholarships for students who attend the school. Over the years, nearly $1.5 million has been awarded to about 1,800 students.
