Zack Smith used a strong back nine to win the 2011 Junior Zanesville District Golf Association Tournament at Jaycees Golf Course. Smith birdied three of the last five holes to edge Conner Reinbeau for the victory. On the girls side Courtney Tincher did not play her best round but was still able to win the Girl's division of the Tournament. With the win both players earn scholarships for their future college plans.

Forever Dads is hosting Champions of Fatherhood Golf Classic at Jaycee's golf course next Friday to help raise funds for group projects.
"Our message about strengthening fatherhood does really resonate with everyone who hears our story because it's so important that there be a strong dad in our lives," said Finance Chair for Forever Dads Dean Cole.
Some area golfers are helping Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center in Cambridge pay for one particular piece of equipment.
It's new IV smart pumps that the hospital is using to replace the older ones.
"It's more of a precaution for the patients. It's programmed in the correct dosage that they would need. So, it's a core measurement for the hospital mostly, " says Debbie Stillion of the Center's Marketing Department.
Dale Jones is 91 years old, but his age is the least of his problems on the golf course. Jones is legally blind and needs help in aiming his shots still not a problem. The annual ZHS Quarterback Club golf scramble is set for this weekend. Organizers say there is still time to get a team in the event which will be played at Green Valley Golf Club Saturday June 26th at 9:30am.
