Water isn't only leaving the banks of the Muskingum River this week.

Creeks and ponds all over Southeast Ohio are overflowing as well. The pond at Green Valley Golf Course left its banks Thursday. Golf Pro Steve Galloway said it's something they deal with each year. Despite dredging the pond and creek, the water still comes pouring out.

The Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce is now preparing for its second annual Spring golf tournament. Chamber membership Services Director, Dana Matz, said other member golf courses expressed an interest in hosting the event as well, so the chamber started a Spring tournament.

People teed off in the sun Tuesday at Green Valley Golf Course.

With the polar vortex heading our way this week, some people were enjoying what could be the last warm weather until spring. We talked to three golfers about why they visited the course Tuesday.

Area golfers teed it up Sunday to support the Fraternal Order of Police.

The 18-hole scramble took place at Green Valley Golf Course Sunday morning. A full field of 18 teams competed in the third annual outing that's put on by Terry's Tavern.

There's a few extra water hazards on one local golf course following this weekend's rain.

The golf pro at Green Valley Golf Course on Dresden Road not so affectionately refers to one of the lakes on the course, used to water the greens, as "Lake Make No Money."

This weekend it lived up to its name as four inches fell on the course from Saturday into Monday morning.

The Folds of Honor Foundation is a national organization that raises money for wounded or fallen soldiers' families.

According to the foundations website, its mission is to ensure no family is left behind in the fight to preserve American freedom. One of the ways the foundation raises money is through the annual Patriot Golf Day.

Golfers can hit the course to help sick kids.

Economy Linen is hosting a golf outing at Green Valley Golf Course September 22nd. Money raised will be used to purchase Christmas gifts for every child staying at Nationwide Children's Hospital. Kelly Beem has been organizing these golf outings every year since 2006.

Dale Jones is 91 years old, but his age is the least of his problems on the golf course. Jones is legally blind and needs help in aiming his shots still not a problem. At 92 years of age most of us would be just happy to see our grand children running around the house or enjoying the accomplishments of our lives. Most of us wouldn't ever imagine playing golf let alone playing league golf where scores actually count.
