Area golfers are getting their clubs ready for the Zanesville Fraternal Order of Police Golf Outing.
Sponsored by Terry's Tavern, the golfers are teeing off to raise money for the annual Senior Citizen Christmas Dinner. Zanesville Police Captain, Tony Coury, said the community enjoys coming together in support of seniors.

The first annual Veteran's Appreciation Weekend is coming up on the second weekend in June.

The Veteran's Appreciation Foundation is getting set for a big weekend long event in June.
The Veteran's Appreciation Weekend begins June 12 and runs through June 14. It will include a 'Flags of Honor' Presentation, a poker run, live music as Terry's Tavern and a golf outing at Green Valley. The Bishops Athletic Association (BAA) hosted a golf outing in order to raise money for athletic causes for Rosecrans high school. President of BAA Mark Johnston says that although the rain left them without their entire list of reserved golfers. Almost 70 people still participated.
